 You could get up to $7,500 Tax Credit if you Buy Now!

As of July 30, 2008, Congress has issued an incentive Tax Credit for first-time home buyers, or anyone who has not bought a home in the last three years.

 Here's how the Tax Credit works:

•  Let's say you purchase a $75,000 home.  On your 2008 Taxes - due during 2009 - you would receive a $7,500 "refundable" credit.  So if you owed $1,500 to the IRS at tax time, you would receive a refund check from them for $6,000.

 •  That $7,500 Credit can be used at your discretion, for home repairs, maintenance, trips, education, you name it!

 •  You have 15 years to repay this Tax Credit, at no interest, at a rate of up to $500 per year - and it also is applied to your tax liability for each year.

 •  The maximum Credit amount is 10% of the home's purchase price, up to $75,000.
